Emergency food day 4 We are testing our food preps - eating and analysing what we have stored so that if and when the SHTF we are in a position to know how to cook the food we have stashed away, and more importantly if we like it. There is a great deal of satisfaction in tucking into a tasty meal at the best of times, yet alone when you're feeling stressed due to circumstances beyond your control. The simplest meals taste superior in these situations. So far, our emergency food plan is going really well. We are eating normalish meals and enjoying them. Last nights meal was special fried rice - normal boiled rice with tinned peas, sweetcorn and hotdog sausages - a tin of tomatoes thrown in went really well. It is amazing how simple foods work wonders on the soul!
